Where Is It?

Life has been nutty here, with my parents visiting all of this week and work being rather busy. I’ve had a ton of pictures ready to upload and blog about here, but just haven’t been able to get to them! However, this morning something made me laugh and I had a hunch it would make you laugh as well, so I just had to quickly load these two pictures and tell you the story!

The mate to this shoe is missing. Sadly, it has not just been missing since this morning, or even last night… It’s been missing for 3 days! The shoes belong to Jackson, and I have torn this house apart while looking for it. The missing shoe has caused drama of some sort each of the last two mornings, which is mighty obnoxious.

Last night I took drastic measures… I loudly announced “Whoever finds Jackson’s missing sneaker will get a dollar!” I then heard “oooohs!” from the back of the van and then Jackson declared that he should be the only one allowed to look for it because it’s his shoe. Nice try, kid;)

As of school time this morning the missing shoe had still not been located. *sigh* Apparently the missing sneaker became a topic of discussion during preschool, because when I went to pick the boys up, this sign was on display outside the door (and a written copy was handed to me).

I’ll let you know if any of these ideas pan out! The boys are ready to check each location off the list as they look this afternoon.

Update at 3pm on Friday the 20th – Nick found the shoe! It was in the little compartment in the hose reel, out on the back deck. I had only looked down the hole in the deck below that spot, and apparently forgot to open the door on the hose reel!
