The Question of the Week over at Multiples and More intrigued me this week, especially after discussing self-inflicted Mom Guilt at our Building Better Moms meeting this past week. The question this week is “What have you done for yourself this week?” Ahhh, excellent question!
The biggest thing I did this past week was focus on improving my health. I went back to Weight Watchers a little over a week ago, so this past week has been filled with learning their new program (which I’m really liking so far), realizing just how much I was overeating and getting back into working out.
Yep, I ate my yogurt out of a measuring cup. Clearly I mean business! I’ve been measuring most everything this week, including the sugar and cream I add to my coffee (turns out I don’t need as much sugar as I had been dumping in before). I’ve done a variety of light exercise – walking (by myself! Ahhhh, quiet!), pilates and yoga and even playing Just Dance on the Wii with the boys.
All in all, it has been a great week. I’ve felt healthier and better about myself as a result of the little changes I’m making and the way I’ve taken charge of what I eat. Sadly, I didn’t lose as much as I’d hoped to (I was hoping for 1-2 pounds but lost half a pound), but I’m ok with that. I’ll keep chugging along and this week I’ll be upping the intensity of my workouts and the weight will come off when it wants to. I can only do so much, so I won’t beat myself up for doing my best.
Well done! I was just emailing a friend who is on Weigh-Less and told her I need to start weighing everything properly again – I’m slacking…….
BTW< I found you on multiples and more ":)
It’s exciting to make those changes. That’s awesome! God just recently took me through a detox on the Fat Flush Plan and it’s been an amazing journey. He has shown me so many things about fasting and how to make changes. Keep up the good work!
Awesome job! That was my answer to the question this week too…working on my weight loss. We also love Just Dance on the Wii here. Fun times!
