Strawberry Picking

Last week a friend posted pictures on Facebook of her daughter picking strawberries, and I immediately inquired as to where they were doing that already. Right then and there I decided I would take the kids the next day, after picking the boys up from school. I’ve missed strawberry picking season the last couple of years, so I didn’t want to miss it this time! My sister was up for the adventure, so joined us on our trek to the farm. (For those of you in KC, we went to Wohletz Farm in Lawrence. Lots of fun! Here is their website: http://www.wohletzfarmfresh.com)

Sample for Lily!

I’d say she approves.

I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing these berries are! So, so, so good!

We only managed to pick about 8 pounds, and I’m sure they’ll be gone in no time, but we had fun and enjoyed eating the fruits of our labor 🙂

  • In a couple of years those boys will be zooming through the rows and you will need to buy a freezer to hold it all!ReplyCancel
