Random Fun

Even though it’s been over a week since my parents headed back home, I realized today that I never had shared most of the pictures from their time here! So buckle up and get ready for some random fun!

(Totally random note – all pictures in today’s post are SOOC (straight out of the camera). All I’ve done is resize them to make the upload quicker. I would love to actually “edit” a couple of these, but I discovered yesterday that my monitor calibration is off, so there’s no point in editing pictures right now. Boo!)

One of the days they were here, we loaded up and drove the hour or so to the Missouri State Fair! The boys begged Pop Pop to take them on the Farris Wheel “like Kipper”, and Pop Pop happily obliged!

Lily girl, always smiling, despite being trapped in her stroller for several hours in a row!

We took in a mini “show” aimed at kids, and after it was over Ty bolted for the stage. I think he’s destined to life on stage…

We also spent one after and evening at Aunt Laura and Uncle Mason’s! Nothing like pool time and then dinner!

Happy girl again! She loves swimming too, and this was post-swim for her.

One of the boys’ very favorite activities during those two weeks, aside from the baseball game, was “treasure hunting”. Treasuring hunting is more commonly known as GeoCaching, and it’s something my dad has been into for years. For those unfamiliar with it, you get GPS coordinates of a website site, plug them into your GPS and then follow your GPS into the woods, a park, a pile of rocks, an urban area, etc and look for the “treasure” – usually a tupperware container full of little trinkets.

The boys geocached several times and loved it! They asked quite a bit to go “treasure hunting” and are still asking about it now, over a week later.

Definitely a lot of fun was had while my parents were here! We’re already looking forward to their return at Christmas.

    • I have no idea! She’s so happy all the time, that we don’t know what to do with her when she has a “sad” day (like yesterday was)!ReplyCancel

The kids are so cute. Question? How long do your boys sleep at night? They are not quite a year older than my son, who is an early bird.ReplyCancel

    • Zoie, while we try to have them in bed by 8, they don’t usually fall asleep until 8:30 or so and then they’re generally wake up between 6:30 and 7am. So I’d say we’re averaging 10.5 hours a night here? They also each tend to fall asleep during quiet time at least once per week (sadly, rarely on the same day).ReplyCancel
