Picture Overload

Ready for a whole lot of random pictures from the last 4 days? Life is passing in a blur here… Time is filled with feedings, a  whole lot of diaper changes, not a whole lot of sleep (at least for Nick and me) and some seriously adorable moments between the boys and Lily. I so wish I could capture those moments with my camera or on video! I know the minute I pop into the room with a camera the cute moment will be lost, so instead I’m doing my best to treasure them in my heart.

This is me holding Lily (for the first time) about 20 minutes after the c-section.

My view of Lily from my bed, looking at her through her little plastic crib. We spent a lot of time staring at each other 🙂

Nick bought an iPad a couple of weeks ago, and we managed to keep it hidden from the boys until they came to the hospital… now they always want to watch something on it or play with it!

The boys also liked to kick me out of my bed. They thought a bed with buttons that made it go up and down was pretty awesome. Plus, it was right in front of the TV.

Tyler was first to ask to hold Lily. He is so smitten with her!

As soon as Tyler was done, Chase wanted a turn.

When Chase was done we asked Jackson if he wanted to hold her and he said “no, I just want to watch something on the iPad”. Silly boy! He still hasn’t held her. I think he’s unsure of the whole baby thing.

Tyler, on the other hand, is very sure about her! This afternoon he sat himself on the couch next to her and was just smiling at her. Then he said “what do you want to do?” and just smiled some more. Definitely an “awwww!” moment here.

Tyler and Chase with Lily.

(They decided on their own this morning that they wanted to dress alike today.)

You can see the whites of her eyes are actually quite yellow right now. She had her bilirubin levels checked today at the doctor and they’re higher now than yesterday. We’re now waiting for a home health company to arrive with a special blanket that should help Lily’s jaundice.

Today, the boys strayed from their usual Quiet Time viewing choice and picked Baby Einstein “for Lily”. Any time Lily cried (she was fighting sleep) Chase would look at her and say “don’t be scared!”. Stinking adorable!
