This past Saturday morning, some friends came by the house to help celebrate Lily’s birthday. There wasn’t a theme to the party, but I did a couple of simple things that I knew would be a hit with the birthday girl.
Instead of cake, I made a giant cookie! Lily loves cookies.
That’s a soft, sugar cookie the size of a large pizza! I made a chocolate frosting using semi-sweet chocolate, a little powdered sugar and a little milk. It was delicious, if I do say so myself!
We also blew up about 40 balloons, because what two year old doesn’t love balloons?!
As you’ll see in the pictures below, the kids (and adults, ahem – Aunt Laura) had a blast with the balloons!
Always fun when friends babies come, so that I can get a baby fix! Isn’t he a doll?! And thanks to Aunt Laura, you get a rare Helen picture on the blog. Ha!
I just realized how long Lily’s hair is getting! She looks super adorable in her pink skirt!
How exciting! Love that cookie!:-) Give the birthday girl – and her brothers as well – an extra hug from the “sunny South.”
