On the Rocks & On the Sand {Our Road Trip}

We packed in just as much ocean fun as humanly possible, in the 3 days we were in Maine. After all, it had been 4 years since we’d been there and who knows how many years it will be before we get back (although the boys have asked daily when we’re going back to Maine & Vermont).

After our visit to the tidal pool, we headed to the nearby lighthouse!

Fun Fact #1 – I grew up a few miles from this lighthouse (Pemaquid Point)
Fun Fact #2 – This is the same lighthouse that is on the Maine quarter!

Jackson wanted to do some posing on the rocks, and he was cracking me up!

That one really made me laugh!

Typical Nick.

Storm rolling in!

This one was taken from the dock of a restaurant we ate at one night. I’m not sure which was better – the view or the fried scallops. Man, those scallops were good!

For our last few hours in Maine, we headed back to the beach.

A trip to the beach isn’t complete without burying children!

Ty was too cool to be buried.

My niece found an awesome place to nap.

And Lily….

Lily got covered head to toe in sand! (It took two baths to get all of it off of her.)
