I’ve witnessed many sweet moments in my home. Many. I’ve always witnessed lots of not-so-sweet moments, but you’ve all heard about those. I can assure you this though, there is no sweeter moment than watching a child sleep.
Yesterday afternoon, it happened again… All four of my children were napping at the same time. Wow. I was about to wake the boys up (so that we didn’t “pay” for the nap later, but it didn’t matter, we paid dearly anyway) when I paused to admire how peaceful and adorable they all were. Then I thought “Helen! Get your camera! How often do you get to take pictures of the boys in such a peaceful state anymore?”
That weird pattern on Jackson’s face is just the shadow of the screen in the window behind him.
Sweet Ty didn’t get to nap on the couch. Instead he plopped down in the middle of a messy floor (we’d had the craft bin out earlier and wow, that thing is quite the mess generator) with his blankets and pillow pet.
I thoroughly enjoyed my 40 minutes or so of complete silence while all 4 of the munchkins slept. After Lily’s 4.5 hour long nap (yep. 4.5 hours. Must be nice) she hung out with me in the kitchen while her brothers continued to sleep.
Boy, do I love that grin! That grin greets us in the morning, after each nap and pretty much any time we look at her. LOVE IT!
Love summertime naps! Love Lily’s smile.. I love babies big wide grin!
Awww. I love these. Soooo adorable. Love lily’s smile.
Absolutely beautiful, Helen! I learned early on (after we had twins when the oldest was 20 months old) to never wake a sleeping baby! My quiet moments were a bit infrequent for a number of years.:-) Stay cool!
Beautiful, so beautiful!
absolutley precious!
