Lily’s Standing!

Time to mark yet another first off the list for Lily. Yesterday afternoon, while we were visiting my sister, Lily pulled herself up to standing for the first time! Woohoo!

Here she is performing the trick this morning….

She’s still pretty wobbly, and she hasn’t attempted moving around in a standing position, but she is oh-so-proud of herself! I was curious this morning when the boys first started standing and then how long it was until they were walking, an according to some very old blog posts (this is why I blog, people – my memory stinks!) they started pulling up at 10 months old but then didn’t walk until about a week after their first birthday. Whew! Maybe I’ve got some time before Lily can really terrorize the house.

Here’s a little video clip of some attempts and then success last night!

Wiley - I’m pretty sure we have the same fence, is it actually a dog exercise pen? We aren’t needing it yet, CHiron can stand and even cruise a couple steps if you stand him up on something, but he doesn’t pull himself up. Heck, he doesn’t even get into a seated position on his own…ReplyCancel

Helen - No, this one is sold at Babies R Us, but I hear a lot of people use them for dogs! In fact, when I sold the SuperYards that we used for the boys a couple whose dog had just had puppies bought it!

We use it as Lily’s safe place when the boys have toys out that contain little pieces.ReplyCancel
