I’m cold. I hate being cold! Thankfully, I know that Thursday will feel spring-like again here and I can enjoy not feeling like I’m freezing. Today we’re going to pretend we’re nice and warm and smelling the scent of chlorine. (Hey, I didn’t promise a perfect day dream here!) Time to look at some fun swimming pictures I took while my parents were here for Christmas.
The boys love when my parents stay at the hotel just down the street from us, because that hotel has a great pool, a hot tub and is almost always empty at the times we go! I dug through Lily’s boxes of hand me downs and found a 2T bathing suit that fit her, so that she could get in on the pool action too.
Ty, are you ready to jump?!
And a little jumping action from Jackson. (He’s trying to give me a thumbs up as he jumps, per Pop Pop’s instructions.)
Ah yes, that hot tub. It’s your typical hotel hot tub, but man that hot water felt awesome. I want need a hot tub at home! Especially on these days that I’m freezing and Nick is constantly turning down the heat when I’m not looking.
Chase and my dad 🙂
Pretty sure I put my hands up to my face like that at least once a day… at least!
There’s Chase, Lily, Ty and Jackson, with my parents just before they headed to the airport. We had a wonderful week with them and are already looking forward to their return in April!
wonderful photos…lilys soo cute in her lil swim suit. I’m debating if i should take my kids (my son is almost 3 and my daughter just turned 1) to the park district over here to let them go swimming I know they would LOVE it just like your kiddos did. they have a nice indoor pool since were in the chicago area it’s freezing cold here too. try and stay warm today!
Do it, Jenni! The kids would love it and you’d get out of the house for bit! I often wish we were members at the community center down the street so that I could just take the kids to the pool on these cold winter days!
What fun! I remember well the days we were able to swim indoors at the Y when it was so cold outside. We are having some really cold temps here, too, but things are supposed to be more “normal” by the week-end.
