The heat wave is getting to me. I think it’s getting to the boys too. The other morning Jackson wandered out to the kitchen with garage sale dots all over his legs.
After seeing how the boredom had reached new levels here, I announced that we were going to Target and Michael’s to buy some craft supplies. The boys have never really done “craft time” here at home, only at church, so this news was met with great excitement!
We got home just in time for lunch and nap time, so I promised the boys I’d have everything set up for craft time when they got up from their nap. Good thing I followed through on that, because the first thing they asked when they came out of their rooms was “is it craft time?”.
Chase, using scissors for the first time. He got the hang of it very quickly and it was definitely his favorite thing to do!
Tyler, gluing a pom pom to his paper.
Such focus!
Jackson only participated for a short time. Then he spent the rest of his time like this…
They also used some stamps, which proved to be much messier than I thought!
Speaking of messy craft times, a couple of weeks ago we let the boys try painting for the first time. They loved it!

Chase, admiring his messy hand!
Craft time was definitely a hit, and I suspect will only grow in popularity as the boys get older and try new things at preschool this year.
I LOVE the last picture of Chase looking at his hand! Priceless!
I had to LOL at Jackson’s Tantrum. You knew it would be one of them…
Glad to know so many of those projects were a hit at your house. I’m way too chicken to hand over a pair of scissors yet… painting maybe.
Was that a tantrum? I thought he was just relaxing. 😉 My favorite picture is the one of Jackson and Chase with the scissors (such focus). Love that shot.
