There were several images I had to choose from for this week’s Autumn Splendor theme at I Heart Faces. I almost went the more traditional route and picked one from a recent portrait session, but I kept coming back to this shot of my own kids… At least I know this one will make you all laugh!

The story behind this one, is that we were just leaving the pumpkin patch and I tried for one last-ditch effort to get a decent picture of my 4 year old triplets and 8 month old (at the time) daughter. Funny how I can get most kids to do as I ask for a picture, but can’t get my own to cooperate!
The boy on the far left had some serious road rash on his face, thanks to tripping while playing 20 minutes earlier, my daughter had recently found her tongue, the brother sitting next to her seems impressed by said tongue and the one of the far right just looks bored with the whole thing.
And there you have it, the perfect, Christmas card worthy picture, in full autumn splendor 😉
OMG- your kids are adorable! your daughter will be one lucky girl growing up with three brothers to protect her! LOL
