Get A Hose!

I don’t normally blog on Sundays, or weekends at all for that matter, but I also don’t usually blog just 3 times over a 10 day period. Oops! I’ve been single parenting it for most of the last week (which, by the way, I’m pretty sure I’m not good at) and it just hasn’t left much time for blogging.

Friday night I took the boys out for ice cream (Lily tagged along, of course) and when I saw the mess they were making, I saw a blog post in the making. Quick, someone get this boy a hose!

Did you know July is National Ice Cream month? I didn’t, until I read what today’s Multiples and More Question of the Week was! (Normally the nifty QOTW button would go here, but it’s not working for some reason, so just follow the link instead.)

Technically, the boys weren’t eating ice cream Friday night but instead were eating frozen custard. Actual ice cream stands are few and far between here in Kansas City, but frozen custard places abound! I actually kind of like the frozen custard, but honestly would rather head to Ben and Jerry’s. Clearly the boys don’t care what they’re eating!

Tyler and Jackson had chocolate everywhere! It really was astounding.

Chase told Jackson that he looked like Papa. Papa has a goatee. Hahaha!

Speaking of Chase, he was wise and went the cup and spoon route with his vanilla ice cream. He made hardly a mess!

Or maybe the problem wasn’t the cone versus the cup, but the fact that Tyler was asleep while eating?

Note to all your parents – make sure your child doesn’t eat most of the paper wrapping on the cone like Jackson did!

Jackson’s wrapper is on top and Tyler’s is on the bottom.

Ahhh ice cream. Tasty and messy and fun!

This post made me laugh. One child is hard enough to keep from making a mess, much less THREE three-yr-olds! I also had to laugh at the nibbled wrapper. Seems Jackson got more bang for his buck!

Thanks for posting today. Those of us who are older and no longer have family at home really enjoy when someone posts on the weekend. I follow several blogs and, knowing the weekends are for family, I am very excited when I see a new post on Saturday or Sunday.

    Keep up the good work!ReplyCancel

  • Ha ha! Love these. That is how Dustyn would eat his. Too cute. I will be a week without Kenny in a few weeks. My hands wont be as full as yours but it is hard.ReplyCancel

  • That’s awesome! Love these pictures. 🙂 I have a wrapper eater too. 3 year olds!ReplyCancel

Send some frozen custard stands my way, it is my favorite! but out here in Virginia they are few and far between, but there are tons of hand dip places everywhere. I think bigger messes are made with frozen custard as it’s already on the road to meltiness, but that’s part of what makes it fun!ReplyCancel
