I think we’re close to breaking Jackson of his blanket sucking habit! Last night, as we were putting the boys to bed, Nick said “should we get Jackson’s blanket?”. I shrugged and whispered “if he doesn’t ask for it, let’s not offer it and see what happens”. Know what? He fell asleep without it! Now, he did not make it the whole night… He woke up at 5am to use the bathroom and was in a terrible mood. At one point he came back into our room and asked for his white blanket and we gave it to him. But hey, that’s some serious progress! I don’t think he’s fallen asleep at night without that blanket since he was about 18 months old!
Chase and me
Last night the boys decided they wanted to have a pretend picnic while listening to their bedtime story. A pretend picnic, of course, needs pretend snacks. Chase’s snack of choice? Broccoli.
Sunday afternoon, my sister and I decided, on a whim, to take the boys to the zoo. It was a beautiful (and slightly chilly) afternoon and the boys had never been to the zoo closer to closing time (we usually go in the morning). They had a ball! The animals were active and they especially loved the little “show” they got at the macaw cage…
These ladies were trying to coax the two macaws into little pet carrier cages. The birds wanted nothing to do with it and did a lot of loud squawking and moving around the cage. The boys were captivated!
Oh, how I wish Laura wasn’t slightly blurry here! This would have been such a cool picture!
I get requests fairly often for recipes or meal plans. Usually it’s my Saturday Savings posts that spur these requests, because my grocery shopping piles often look so random. I’m thinking of starting a new series called “What’s for dinner Wednesdays”. Thoughts? Yay or nay?
Sweet Ty, passed out on the floor yesterday afternoon.
Yesterday I finally got around to updating my 365 Blog! I only hadn’t done it since the boys’ birthday. Whoops! Even more of a whoops though was when I realized I missed taking pictures 10 days in September. Doh! I’m promising myself I’ll finish the year out strong. You can visit our 365 blog by clicking HERE.
I vote “yay” on the Whats for dinner segment … I’m always looking for meal ideas.
Cute randoms!! I love your boys (and you!)
Oh man I love that picture of sleeping Tyler! And great job with the blanket breaking – this coming from a girl who had a blankie until she was 10 (it even came to college with me, but never left the closet).
I would love it if you would share recipes with us. I’m always looking for something new to cook. Also, congrats on baby #4 being a girl. I can’t wait to see pictures of her room.
I vote yay!
My vote is Yay also. And maybe with a Mr Linky, others could participate? Just a thought. 😉
What great photos! Your family is too cute!
I’d love to hear your “What’s for dinner Wednesdays.”
I love that last picture of Ty. The coloring and light is so soft and peaceful looking!
