Fly a Kite & Read a Good Book {Summer Bucket List}

This post could also be titled “Look how brown the grass is, thanks to the drought”. Ick! At any rate, we had some good wind a couple of weeks ago, so I loaded up the kids and we headed to nice open area to fly a kite!

We also checked off “Read a Good Book”! Obviously not at the same time we were flying a kite 😉 We introduced the boys to the world of chapter books, last week. One was on the short side (Nick read it all to them in one night) and had pictures, whereas the other one we’re pacing ourselves with doesn’t have as many pictures. They really enjoy it!

    What chapter books are you reading? My son is almost the same age as your boys and I’ve been wanting to start reading some chapter books with him but don’t know where to start!ReplyCancel

    • Heather, the picture one was something about monkeys getting a pet puppy. I don’t remember the name! The other one (that they’re still working on) is a Treehouse Mystery. There’s a whole series of those books!ReplyCancel
