Easter Wrap Up

Our Easter weekend was a relatively quiet and relaxing one. Times like these (holidays) I miss the chaos of big family gatherings and the big eating-fest that goes along with them. I was comforted with the thought though that in just a few weeks we’ll have plenty of family chaos here for my sister’s wedding! (Family starts arriving two weeks from today!)

Saturday evening we got the kiddos all dressed up and headed to church. Nick worked in the boys’ nursery room while I got to go to a very crowded Easter service (yes, the night before Easter). After the service I snapped some pictures of all the children by the fountain, before we headed off to a high school graduation party.

(The boys all wanted a picture with just Lily.)

Sunday morning I made Nick a birthday breakfast (blueberry pancakes, grilled Spam and fresh pineapple) before I headed to church to help out in the 3 year old room for a service. After I got home, Nick headed outside to hide some eggs for an egg hunt!

The faces Chase makes just crack me up!

As part of the hunt, Nick also hid a reusable shopping bag of chocolates in a tree. He told the boys they needed to find the blue bag and it was somewhere in the back yard…

Nothing like a bag of chocolates hanging from a tree to excite some 3 year olds!
