Bright Starts Having A Ball Playdate Party

Playdates are so much fun! Kids get play time, and moms get to sit back, relax, and catch up with each other. Life with triplets means my house is in a nearly non-stop playdate mode, but without the fun of chatting with other moms while the chaos rages on!

I’ve hosted many a playdate here at my house, but always with the boys’ friends (or my friends who happened to have a child close to the boys’ age at least). Miss Lily will be 2 and a half next month (gah!  How’d that happen?!), and she still hadn’t had a playdate of her very own. Bright Starts to the rescue!

A few weeks ago, two seriously huge boxes were delivered to my house. Both of them were jam packed full of fun toys for babies and toddlers! It was like Christmas morning in here when I unloaded everything! My kids were in heaven, despite the toys being technically “too young” for the boys.

Last Friday, on the boys’ last day of school, Lily and I prepped for a fun morning with some kids closer to her age! She was a little surprised when children (some she didn’t know) started showing up at the house, but quickly got into the fun of having other little people around to play with.

The only toys out and available to play with, were the toys Bright Starts had sent to me. The kids all had an absolute ball playing with them, which is appropriate considering the theme was “Having a Ball”! All toys either had balls that went with them, or were shaped like balls.

The activity table was a big hit, as were the ride on toys, 5 in 1 sports zone, and an adorable lady bug that would spin around and send balls flying!

Know what we all really loved about the toys? That for the most part, the balls were interchangeable with balls from the other Bright Starts toys! Same size balls, means not getting an undersized one jammed where it shouldn’t be (which I think we’ve all been through before). And bonus – Bright Starts sells boxes of extra balls, so if you lose them, the toy isn’t a lost cause!

Bright Starts also sent me a small gift card to Target, to buy some snacks for the party, and they sent fun gift bags and party favors! As my friends left, I also insisted they pick a toy from the floor and take it home with them. I told them not to expect so many awesome freebies though at my next playdate 😉

The seven kiddos that were here, all had a ball that morning, and Lily is still having a ball with some of the toys that were left over! She’s only going to get to enjoy the leftovers for a short time though, because I have big plans for those…. I’ll hold aside one or two of them to give away here on the blog in the next couple of weeks, and the rest are going to be donated to an organization here in Kansas City, that has a need for some fun new toys for the families they work with!

I would also LOVE to have a few more toys to offer to you, my amazing, awesome readers! Bright Starts is having a friendly little contest for the 5 or so of us that hosted parties for them; we earn points for social media participation. Those points will be tallied and points will be translated to prizes you can win here on my blog! Leave a comment on this post, comment on the FB posts about this, Tweets about this, etc. and we’ll be one step closer to a super fun giveaway here on Three Times the Giggles!

Disclaimer: Bright Starts sent me the boxes of toys and Target gift card (for snacks), with the agreement that I would blog about the experience. The opinions about the toys are my own and true! I appreciate Bright Starts choosing me to participate!
