Baby’s Heartbeat

Special welcome to those of you stopping by from Multiples and More! I hope my guest blogger post helps you out. You’ll be happy to know that we’re now into our 3rd month of having a “Kid of the Day”, and things are still going awesome.

Today I did something I hadn’t done yet with the boys. I took them to my OB appointment. While it wasn’t my first choice of things to do with them today, I knew the appointment would be a quick one at least.

As we walked towards the waiting area we passed by the sonogram room and I noticed the very same tech who “discovered” the boys was in and not busy, so we stopped to say hi! She hadn’t seen the boys since that fateful day in March 4 years ago (when I was 12 weeks along), and was thrilled to get to meet them. She immediately pulled out the little ultrasound photo album she has and showed the boys their picture, which they got a kick out of.

During my appointment today I decided to video the boys’ reactions to hearing their baby sister’s heartbeat! I loved the grin Jackson had on his face when he realized what he was hearing, and hearing the boys say “hi” to their sister (at the doctor’s prompting) was absolutely adorable. I’m so glad I thought to bring the camera! (Chase is closest to the camera, then Tyler and Jackson at the end.)

We now have less than 3 weeks to go and I feel over-due! Crazy to think I’m 3 weeks past where I was when I had the boys. I asked the doctor if she has many women not make it to their scheduled c-section date and she said many do, but there are definitely times when they don’t. Greeeat… I need all the time I can get baby girl! Do you hear me? We have too much to do still to prepare for your arrival – like picking out a name!
