I had this post almost ready to go this morning, when I suddenly looked at the clock and realized it was about time to dash out the door to the boys’ first day of preschool! I’ll have tales about that adventure (it involved dragging a child to the van without his shoes on and listening to a melt-down the whole 20 minute drive to school) tomorrow probably, but for now I wanted to share some fun pictures from this past weekend when we….
went apple picking!
The day was absolutely perfect and gorgeous.
The apples at Weston Red Barn were plentiful this time around. Last year, we went a few weeks too late and the pickings were slim. This time, we went the first week of picking and there were plenty of apples!
There were so many apples, they were even growing off of Nick!
Definitely a fun family outing, complete with apple slushes after we paid for our apples!
Lily even had a good time! (Look at those chunky legs!)
Is it wrong that I’ve been dying to write “How do you like them apples?” during this whole post? Well, at least I got it out of my system… thanks a lot, Maury.
Yesterday I made applesauce in the crock pot and boy was it good! Can’t wait to make some more apple treats this week.
Apples! YUM! Oh i went to that crockpot applesauce link, and it made me miss your “What’s for dinner Wednesday?” Are you going to start it up again? Always enjoy your blog!
Thanks, Cheryl! I do need to be forced into some kitchen creativity right now… I’ll try and come up with a few What’s For Dinner Wednesday posts!

Looks like fun. Her legs are sooo chunky.
