The boys were too distracted today by their “new” toys (toys they hadn’t seen for a few months) to bother helping me draw a name, so I relied on Random.org to do the job.

It’s been nearly a year since we started potty training the boys. While catching on to the daytime training went pretty fast (especially considering their age and that they’re boys), nighttime was another story. While it frustrated me at first, I eventually just became grateful to only be buying pull ups for use at night. $40-$50 a month is way better than the $200 a month I was spending on diapers!
A couple of months ago Chase started staying dry at night and when he’d been dry 5 nights in a row we let him switch to sleeping in underwear! He was mighty proud of himself. In that time Jackson would wake up dry every once in a while, but not often enough to go even two nights in a row. This last week though he suddenly put together a string of 5 nights and last night we put him to bed in underwear too! He was so excited to “be like Chase” and I was so excited to think that a package of pull ups will now last us nearly a month. Hopefully Tyler will follow suit here soon!
And, because a post just doesn’t seem complete without a couple, here are some pictures from the other night. The boys were playing in the pool while I was frantically trying to get our dinner (pizza on the grill) cooked before a huge thunderstorm rolled in!
